Kingfisher Kitchen

Kingfisher Kitchen has been created to develop a sense of community around food. The vision for the project is to have a community garden using the produce to cook in the Kingfisher Kitchen. This will be run by volunteers who regularly meet at the Hewett Centre to socialise and cook fresh healthy meals together. The food will be offered for an affordable cost to the Centre’s community and clients.

Volunteers are all involved in planning, preparing and cooking meals; each participant is equally responsible for how the Kitchen runs.

Volunteers come from many different backgrounds, everyone bringing strengths and skills which can be shared with the group.
